WHAT I LIKE ABOUT THIS ICE MAKER
I like the large viewing window on the front of the unit that makes it easy to see how much ice is available.
I love that this ice maker was easy to clean and easy to operate. Overall, this ice maker is built well. It’s made from pure copper columns and has a high-speed exhaust fan with a large area to circulate the air in the back.
This isn’t a premium ice maker that for sure, and it only produces 28 lbs of ice each day, but overall it’s a solid unit.
I can see why this ice maker is a popular purchase online and why it has such a high-quality report.back to menu ↑
WHAT I DIDN’T LIKE ABOUT THE IKICH PORTABLE ICE MAKER
A couple of things that I wasn’t crazy over with this particular ice maker is that the water reservoir tank is only 2 liters.
This isn’t a huge deal or a deal-breaker, but it does mean that you’ll be filling it up a lot.
Their website says that this ice maker produces “crewable ice” which isn’t exactly right. Although all ice can be chewable, it’s not genuinely chewable ice like nugget or sonic ice.
If you are looking for an ice maker that produces REAL chewable ice in a portable unit, then your only option is the Opal Nugget Ice Maker which will cost you a lot more than $100.back to menu ↑
GREAT USES FOR THE IKICH PORTABLE ICE MAKER
This ice maker is a pretty simple, compact unit. Its purposes are diverse, but I think it would shine as an ice maker for an RV, camping or a boat.
The reason is the size of the unit.
It only weighs 17 lbs. This is great for carrying it around with you on your RV, cottage, or campground. This ice maker wouldn’t take a lot of power to operate as well, so you could use it on a generator.
With that being said, this ice maker still would serve a family that’s looking for cold beverages or a home bar. The IKICH Portable Ice Maker also be used for family gatherings, parties, or just everyday ice needs.back to menu ↑
